I have to say that although it wasn't magnificently designed, the free tour for this site gave you quite a few and samples and preview of some of the girls on this site. The members' area could have been a lot better though. Although the girls have their own photo sections, the videos really were poorly organised with video clips presented as being separate updates on their own. There was no update information on show at all and no descriptions or background to any of the content either. The design wasn't great but the lack of thumbnails and general information was what really irritated me. Much improvement needed here.
You will not find numerous video and photo options here either. Videos download or progressively download in one full length .WMV format file only, playing for the most part at a rather small 352x288px. Still, at least the download speeds were pretty quick and there was no DRM to be seen. Photo sizes varied a fair amount but a lot of the images I looked at were sized at 778x1166px, but there were no .ZIP downloads with them.
AltDoll.com is a site that I should have found myself warming to easily - I am a self-professed lover of alt girls, and this seemed set to be perfect. And actually, if judged solely by the girls, most of whom are British amateurs making their first adult site steps, this site would indeed be perfectly fine. Some girls are nervous and seem unsure of themselves, and it's a bit too grainy and amateurish at times, but I think that added to the feel.
The problems start occurring when you realise that not all of the girls are 'alt' - a blonde called Kate gets 19 galleries here and as pretty as she is, a tattoo and a navel piercing doesn't make her alternative. She isn't the only one though. Plus, the business of video clips padding out the index pages really did not sit well with me at all either. Basically, they have got a good site here but it is hidden away under too many issues.
