Bone Town in-depth review
Bone Town was a new experience for me. Right away, you can tell it was inspired by the infamous Grand Theft Auto series. For those of you unfamiliar with Grand Theft Auto, Grand Theft Auto is a game that started out quite simple but as each installment came out, they pushed the edges of what was to be seen on a main stream video game by incorporating things like having sex with prostitutes, tons of violent fighting, thievery, and even good old drug use.
Though Grand Theft Auto continues to be a huge success, it was never able to do what Bone Town has done. Bone Town has taken most of the edgy elements of GTA and just flew out the window with that idea. See what I mean by viewing plenty of trailers and pictures at BoneTown.com.
Bonetown requires a pretty good computer system to play it up to its full capabilities:
Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7
Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz or AMD Athlon 2800+
1 GB RAM (1.5 GB for Vista and Windows 7)
3 GB hard drive space
128 MB of Video Memory
Video Card supporting Pixel Shader 2.0
DVD-ROM drive If you plan on having the game shipped to you}
Recommended System Requirements:
Intel Core 2 Duo or Athlon X2
1.5 GB RAM (2 GB for Vista and Windows 7)
256 MB of Video Memory
The download is well over a gig and will unpack even bigger. The game basically starts with your character building up in status from nothing. You have to start by becoming stronger by having sex with less attractive skanks then work your way up to fit and fine hotties. Along the way you will be faced with mission goals to defeat "The Man" by any means necessary. This will include beating up tons of people, screwing the right girls, taking lots of drugs that give you super human strengths, and mingling with some edgy racial stereotypes. This game is not for the faint of heart.
The gameplay is amusing, there's no doubt about that but the camera controls can get pretty ghastly at times. Its a button masher too be be prepared to click til you cant click anymore. Since the mouse controls the camera and the fighting, things can get pretty dizzying. Its fun for while but things do tend to get a little bland.
