Bus Stop Tales review

This is one of those sites that neither pleases nor disappoints. It's kinda like having a meal at a mediocre restaurant. The food's fine, but not good enough for a decent tip, not bad enough for a call to the health inspector.

Design-wise, 4 Bus Stop Tales.com is functional, but a little plain. It has an old fashioned feel about it; but, yet, again, so does much of the content (which will get to in a moment). Navigation is simple, the content laid out in easy to read and use thumbnail blocks.

The photo section is a little sparse - just 13 sets - but those sets have a lot of images in them: 200 - 300 is not uncommon. Quality is not up to the standards of many of the more modern sites and/or bigger production houses, but it's not at all bad either.

The movie section is heavily populated with lots and lots of content. Despite this being billed as 'Bus Stop Tales' the vast majority of the movie content is culled from Ed's archives. The quality of much of the older footage is pretty ropey; shaky, grainy hand held camcorder stuff. The more recently produced work is of a lot better quality - in terms of reproduction - but is just as middling in terms of direction and cinematography as the older material. But, yet again, that's also part of Ed's style: raw, unpolished, catch-as-catch can. Photos and videos can be viewed online or downloaded. Movies are available in Quicktime, MP4 and WMV format and download quickly and smoothly.

Elsewhere on the site there are a few extras: erotic stories (all dating from 2009), audio clips (also from 2009) a webcam where you can chat with Ed, and an engaging blog filled with Ed's thoughts and exploits.

The site is somewhat cluttered with ads and links for other sites and services; perhaps a little too cluttered, the attempt to cash in on affiliate program commissions somewhat obvious. Ed plays the 'dirty old man' well, and he genuinely seems like a fun guy, who clearly enjoys his work, as do the girls he's 'helping out'.
