Metro XXX in-depth review
If you were expecting an absolute avalanche of content on this site then it hasn't quite got there yet - it has only been going for a few months though. Still, 220 photo galleries and 501 videos isn't bad, is it?! The site updates 5 to 10 times per week too. The navigation was a standard template that you should have seen before. Although it works really well and all content is categorised as well as giving you great update info and a full models and performers index, I might have thought that a company as big as this would have created their own user interface rather than using a template. Still, it works great!
I think though that the most disappointing part of the site is that there are no video downloads at all. Again, while I understand why they have done this, it will certainly infuriate and disappoint many customers. Nonetheless, you can stream these videos in Flash and .MP4 formats with most of them playing at 640x360px or 640x480px. No .ZIP downloads on the galleries either and most photos were sized at 682x1024px.
It would be unfair to really have a go at MetroXXX.com for not allowing video downloads as so many sites are taking this stance these days. But it still comes as an almost crushing disappointment to know that you won't be able to download and keep those fantastic No Man's Land and My Baby Got Back scenes amongst many others here. Still, at least on a monthly basis the site is cheap and offering great value in the absence of these features, especially with the masses of bonuses on show.
It's a testament though to the history of this label that this site has so much on it and yet it hasn't even scratched the surface in terms of what it can bring you. It is so far focusing on their content from more recent years, and hasn't, as yet, made any real in-roads into their retro catalogue or classic content. I think that is when this site will really come into its own as it will then be offering a much wider collection of content. This isn't a bad starting point though!
