The navigation here really is completely excellent. It starts off with the fact that they fully categorise all content here, even telling how many videos and photos are in each category. They similarly present the content by decade as well, whilst they also give you full descriptions of the content in each video and the background where possible. The photos aren't quite as well presented but as most of them are single pictures rather than galleries, they do the best they can with them. The only thing that they strangely forget to include here is some update information - there is practically none here, in fact.

All videos on this site were available to download and stream in Flash / .FLV formats, playing at a best of around 640x480px for the most part. All downloads were full file only and there were no DRM restrictions on them. There were no .ZIP file downloads for the photos on Retro Porn Archive.com because, as mentioned, they are presented as single images rather than galleries. Photo sizes varied and their magnifier meant you could view them at any size within reason anyway. There are 405 videos and over 12,700 photos on the site currently.

I think we have all seen quite enough retro porn sites with not much more than Deep Throat, Debbie Does Dallas and early Jenna Jameson films for us to be utterly fed up with them by now. What I think is interesting about this site, or one of its more interesting aspects, is that they have gathered together content from all over the world. The American stuff here could probably be found reasonably easily with a decent web search, but the European stuff certainly could not. Of course, it can be grainy at times, but so will you be in a hundred years' time! As someone with an interest in the history of pornography, I found this fascinating.
