Skin Video review

There are currently around 26,000 individual video scenes (all complete with screenshot galleries) on the site as well as over 1300 photo galleries if you have access to them with your membership. The navigation here was every bit as excellent as I expected it to be with a massive array of indexes and menus for you to find specific types of scenes and performers. The only thing missing was an index of all the studios featured. There are special sections dedicated to the aforementioned studios, but none for any others, which was really odd. It was pretty much the only major oversight - there were one or two niggles about update information and date ordering of content, but otherwise it was excellent.

The video options here were very impressive but I have to admit to being surprised that you could not view or download the scenes in shorter clips - you can only take them at full length. Still, they can be downloaded in .WMV, .MPG, .MP4 and .3GP formats, and the high definition videos play at 1280x720px. If you don't have HD access then the best quality versions normally play at 720x480px. Photo sizes varied quite dramatically between galleries, but all photo sets were available for .ZIP download.

After delighting over the brilliant Mr Skin only last week, the arrival of SkinVideo.com for a review was something that had me very excited. It is basically, in concept, a pretty straightforward DVD and video site with the usual massive collection of titles to enjoy. But it does have several aspects that distinguish it from the many other similar sites out there. For a start, the added extras that you get with the premium package, including the HD videos and photo galleries, are things you don't see on many such sites.

I think the extra packages for the three studio collections, which will set you back $20 per month, might be a little bit steep but they each contain a large collection of videos as well as the quality you would expect from those studios. To be honest, the galleries are not all that amazing so I would be more interested in the high quality videos. The collection of over 2500 amateur videos though was another advantage that this site holds over its competitors.
