The Pain Files review

I would certainly have to praise the tour that the makers of ThePainFiles have put together as I found it very informative, as I'm sure you will too. They give you a long list, with some thumbnails, of many of the episodes and galleries that you'll find if you join the site. It may be short on video trailers but it delivers all the information that you could want.

The members' area navigation wasn't particularly good. A main page giving you a list of all the recent updates (all dated, and with about four or five new sets added every week), was good. The video indexes were confusing though and rather poorly organised - some of them even have a different layout and navigation to them. These need to be standardised and much improved. The photo galleries are listed via model, yet these take you to their videos as well. It really should be a lot better than this.

Due to the confusing nature of the navigation, it's quite hard to tell how much content is here! I'd estimate about 100 videos though and probably a similar number of photo galleries as well. There were no .ZIP downloads for the photo galleries here although I did find quite a lot of high resolution images, sized at around 1600x1200px. There were no streamed videos either, but downloads, which were only in .WMV files, could be made for both full videos or clips. The resolutions are usually 320x240px and 720x576px.

Ouch! ThePainFiles.com makes all other BDSM sites look like an episode of Sesame Street! This is seriously hardcore BDSM, pain and punishment fetish action. Probably not the site you want to start off with if you're taking your first tentative steps with the genre, but if you're an experienced consumer of this genre then this is the site you want to be stepping up to.

I did find it frustrating that the organisation of the content was no inept in places because it really restricted how quickly I could get round the site and experience its content. The content is outstanding in terms of performances, certainly. Everyone deserves a lot of credit (and some lotion!) for the way they perform here, and I was pleased to see that the quality of the photography and camerawork had improved over the last year or so as well.
