I think the lack of a response is because we would be forced to call it-

Five legitimate reasons Donald. J. Pig should be incarcerated vs 5 baseless accusations against Joe Biden made by conservative assholes.

As opposed to: The Top Five Reasons They're Both Unfit

I'll have to join that Top 20 thing, that's really awesome!

Love comes and goes but FreeOnes is forever.
If there were ever a time the US needed a charismatic centrist to emerge as a third-party option (Independent), it is now.

Each election cycle we keep hoping for this unicorn to arrive. It has not yet.

Assuming Biden and Trump are the nominees, the only thing an independent would do at this point is give the election to Trump. Trump’s populist base would not consider a centrist. The only people considering a centrist are soft Biden and anti-Trump voters.

Or tump doesn't get the GOP nom and goes independent, making... the GOP the centrist?

Biden is the centrist in almost any plausible scenario. The guy is not a radical by any means. His primary liability is his age.

I would prefer to see Trump run as an independent. To see how it would turn out for Republicans, review the 1912 election results.

I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.

There are very few actual left politicians in the U.S. Biden is right of center, and decently so, in any logical political science discussion. I mean Bernie or AOC would barely be centrist in most Western democratic nations. They are just thought of and called left wing by Republicans and other conservatives because to them anything to the left of Ayn Rand or much to the left of fascism in today's climate is considered "left" or called socialist/communist anymore. (and of course they have no freaking clue what any of those terms actually mean when they say them)

And Nikki remains the only Republican candidate not named Trump ...

DeSantis leaves the competition and endorses Trump. After all the vitriol dumped on him by Trump, he still thinks Trump is best for Republicans? Way to go Ron! As a result Trump retires DeSanctimonious nickname. How magnanimous.

Tim Scott thinks Trump would unite the US? The party is drinking the Kool-Aid.
https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4419673-sununu-rips-tim-scott-post-endorsement/

NH's governor Chris Sununu: "Tim Scott actually just looked in the camera and said ‘Donald Trump’s going to unite the country.’ Not even Donald Trump believes that statement. I mean, nobody thinks Donald Trump’s united the country.”

I don't get why they drop out so early - especially after just the first primary. Iowa isn't representative of the entire country, and even by sheer numbers you could easily make up any votes in the next primary.

After spending all that time and money, they shouldn't be giving up that easily. Especially to someone who could tank the entire party itself.

To get the 2024 Presidential Republican nomination you have to get past an obstacle course. That barrier is named Donald J. Trump. All he needs to do is wave his hand. As a result, he can and will get millions in campaign donations from all of his supporters in this country. And these funds are going to his various PACs that he's setup during his campaign -- there is no accountability in any of this. He can then use those funds in any which way he chooses. He'll give several millions to his attorneys defending him in all of the court cases. How pathetic.

Israel's emergency government close to collapse as Gaza war continues

Netanyahu’s political predicament is already straining the Biden administration’s patience, with a growing sense that they are providing considerable support without receiving anything from him in return.

While the Americans are compelled to take Netanyahu’s political affairs under consideration, he, in turn, is unwilling to extend the same goodwill gesture toward the Democratic candidate currently residing in the White House, who is facing a challenging and tumultuous reelection campaign.

tump and bibi were pretty close, with the latter even naming things after him. So it's interesting to see that this is carrying over today, and might play a role in the election

I would guess they drop out when their donors tell them to pull the plug, because they see no more good chances for their investment. It's all business

In that case hopefully the Koch bros will stick around for her.

I wouldn't be surprised if the GOP do a last minute surprise emergency switcharoo, bringing in a candidate that could bring in the votes they need to make it like 2016.

They were, but Trump got peeved that Netanyahu congratulated Biden so early after the election. He also recently criticized him on security and intelligence. As with anything about Trump, relationships are fungible.

They see the inevitable result and do not believe (or will not admit) that Trump will rank the party. Why waste the time and effort when he has work to do in Florida? He hit his high-water mark too early. He can mature for a 2028 run.

No chance. They will live or die with the Orange Jesus.

They should take a page out of the NV primaries and have "none of the above" as an option for the US presidential election.
Like @Lee Van Queef, RFK Jr is lurking somewhere in the background. Hopefully, 'none of the above' has some better representatives than RFK Jr.

After getting some help focusing the electorate on Biden's age, Trump trashes NATO and military families. I'll take the elderly guy who calls the other elderly guy a 'sick fuck.' Trump talking smack on age is so hypocritical. If he beats Biden, he will be Biden's current age at some point.
